H&M Opening in Tel Aviv causes mass hysteria

This video shows the opening of the first H&M flagship store in Tel Aviv (Israel) on March 11th. Masses hit the store and caused several faints, injuries and stress among the customers. At the end of the day, the responsible CEO apologized and reflected that maybe the promotion of the opening was to aggressive. Either way, 15.000 customers came to first day and spent 3 million schekel (thats 600.000 Euro). The event was also big in newspapers and TV channels. More pictures over at Modepilot. Oh my, when I see such mass hysteria, I am kinda relieved that H&M stores are available and rather common in most cities in Germany and that the opening of a new one does not cause so much public interest. What do you think, is that mass attention deserved or a little over the top? Love,
