Christian Siriano Fall 2010

I rarely see a collection that is absolutely wearable and completely desirabel (and I mean every piece):
Please meet the classical and elegant creations from Christian Siriano's Fall 2010 collection. I want to wear something in dark blue, now! :)

A little extraordinary, but I love the "Princess from outer space" Style! I'd be happy wearing this anytime (with night blue earrings, of course). My favourite robe by Christian!

Something more casual, but still glamorous for you? Love the shoulders on this one!

Ready for work - perfect^^. Really, that style is so pure an simple, you can only just adore it. I am usually either in pink/ruffle/romance/nude styles or in the elegant/classic/eternal/understatement styles - is this a contradiction or a complement?

Yet another fairy tale, night blue evening robe. Right from the Milky Way. "Ehm, where can I park my space ship?". Intergalactic coolness.

Christian Siriano - I'll watch out for more of your creations!

On personal terms: I took the first three exams today and it was not as bad as expected (uhh, better I wait until I get the results!!). Can't believe it is over! Now I am trying to relax a little and in the evening I will continue to prepare for the next three ones on Thursday. Yesterday I bought new shoes (spring! spring!!) via ebay, can't wait for them to arrive.
Love and Kisses,

Happy Valentine's day

Romance is in the air

Hi my lovelies! I present here a fine selection of sets, matching the *Day of Love*. This year, I am not particularly celebrating, as the exams start tomorrow and I have to repeat everything all and all over again, until I get nuts -.-. Traditionally I associate the 14th February with my sister, it is her birthday today and I am giving her a call later^^. Hopefully I soon have the time to take pictures with my new camera. Please have a wonderful day and see you back on Monday!
Love,

♥ Winning a pink camera from the Essence Contest ♥

Yesterday a mysterious packet arrived and to my utter shock and surprise it contained this precious pink camera from Canon.

It first I could not figure out where it was from, because there was no letter in there and I did not recognize the sending company. Perhaps it was a gift? Or a mislead order? But the postal sticker clearly stated my name and my address. After several hours of phoning half of my relatives to say thank you (they where even more surprised than I) without success, I finally googled the sender and suffered my second shock:
Last December I took part at the EU-wide creativity contest "Be a trendmaker" to hand in new ideas for potential product lines for the make-up company Essence cosmetics (reread the post *here*). And under the prizes were make-up sets, vouchers, Ipods and ...yay cameras! So the secret of the pink camera was solved and overjoyed I wrote a thank-you-letter to the Essence headquarter. I am so happy!!!! (And it's PINK!!!)
Here is the collage I handed in in December, along with several ideas for a possible make-up line (e.g. pastel eyeshadow colours, golden glittery lip gloss, soft pink nail polish etc.):
(The theme is "Royal Princess - The crown is yours!")

Fashion Mag review: BLONDE

On my hunt for fashion magazines apart from glossy mainstream stuff, I came upon BLONDE.
Here is my review:
The cover from the actual "inSleep Issue". It is rather huge (even larger in size than Elle or Vogue) and printed on high quality paper.

Glimpse of on of their editorials. Blonde is produced in Hamburg (Germany) and is usually available all around the country, for example at the local station. Price is 5 Euros. Published 4 times a year.

An ad of "Blutsgeschwister", a German fashion brand. My personal favourite ad! I will decorate my room with this^^. (If you are interested in Blutsgeschwister, click here.)

They had their models "sleeping" in the main editorial - we love the flamingo and the pose! It has a certain Alice-related touch, don't you think?

Sleeping Beauty or little Red Ridinghood? Crave the shoes and her gloves!

Additional pages about make up, lifestyle, films, books, decoration, music and more. Felt instantly inspired by the cushions. Doughnut, anyone? Sweet dreams!

Cute-ness factor close to 100 %. The bear pullover.

Review: *****
Five stars! Refreshing, to read a magazine which is not dominated by stars or gossip and features more individual and unique clothes. I noted, that in most of their editorials they were refering to Vintage Online Shops are young designers. They show the brands and products that do not usually get mainstream attention. This is an extra plus! I also favour the regular "Streetstyle"-section. You want more Blonde? Click here. Each issue is focused on a theme, the next one being "The Blue Issue", published on 26th of February this year.
Buy your own copy and enjoy the sensation^^!

We feel sorry for...Noah Cyrus

I was shocked finding these pictures of Miley Cyrus' little sister Noah. Do you think these are appropriate dresses for a ten (!) year old?
Noah Cyrus by Action Press (c).

Even worse: Noah and her BFF cousin Emily Reaves recently walked over the red carpet dresses like this:
And no - it was not a swimming pool party!!
The two of them will have their own clothes line for little girls launched soon, containing leo-print miniskirts, high heels and belly-free tshirts. Similar creations like those below:

It is been said that Noah's father Billy Ray Cyrus, who already made his daugther Miley into a teenstar, plans a future career in showbiz for her little sister, too. So Noah wears strong make up on public events and dresses and dances like an adult. Same goes for her cousin Emily, who usually attends events together with Noah. I feel deeply sorry for this young girl, who appears to be taken over by the celebrity and show world before she even notices it. What do you think of celeb kids, who are seemingly being exploited by their parents for image or financial reasons? What is so difficult in having your children dressed appropriately?

Up into the clear blue sky

Future Aircruise hotel floating over the sea.
Running via solar panels.
Arriving at a city.
The Lounge

View from one of the hotel bars.

SONG: ***Himmelblau by Die Ärzte***
(means "Clear blue sky" in German - wonderful!!)

How I am enthralled by this future project! This luxurious aircruise has been designed by British company SemourPowel and aims to provide an elegant flying hotel to float over the sky to the big cities on our different continents. Up to 200 guests can be acommodated, plus crew members. The project is said to potentially being realized as soon as 2015! Can you imagine this style of travel? I would definitely like to go - love the futuristic, minimal design and the idea! One of my first thoughts popping up in my mind was: What would I wear there? Additionally I have a weakness for wonderful sunsets...Let the cruise begin^^.
Love,

Designer: Kate Towers

("Meet me at the deserted Island...")
("Witness the birth of a butterfly...")
("I'll be waiting for you ... forever")
("Princess with the sad eyes, protecting
her heart from the world...")

The first time I encountered Kate Towers was via Elvchen's Blog. The dresses are all unique and hand-made by Kate Towers in her atelier in Portland, US. She sells on her webpage and has her own store on Etsy. Her non-seasonal dresses are apparently inspired by nature and romantic aesthetic. I love the editorial shoots of her dresses a lot, they capture everything I think of as beautiful. The moment the girls are caught in seems to have captured them in a minute of their life or existance. Still they are all clearly and sharply photographed, despite the dreamy atmosphere. That combination draws me to her creations and the wonderful photos. There is more inspiration on her page!
Love,
