Inspiration from the Fashion Studio

Did you have those paper dolls in your childhood? The ones you can cut out clothes for and dress them up for every occassion?? I had a lot of fun with them when I was little, so it's not surprising that I highly enjoy to play around with H&M's Fashion Studio... This time I discovered the portrait function^^:

My favourite items styled together in three outfits:

1) Let's hit the city =)

2) Let's go to the open air theatre play

3) Saturday afternoon Latte Macchiato

Which one do you like best?! The autumn/winter catalogue will be published at the end of July and I am curious what's up for the next season... By the way, I have my first free day since what feels like forever (in Israel, only Saturday is usually free from work). Still, there is some household chores waiting, a lot of emails and other stuff... And there is going to be a small beach party tonight with some of my friends =)) Yaaay!!
Lots of Love,

Paint me with the Colours of the Rainbow!

You can guess from the pictures so far that my new home is either sandy/brown (like the mountains) or clear blue (like the sea and the sky). Luckily, I found several views in between which really enchanted my heart... So today I am happy to show you some of my most favourite photos.

Those sweets are openly sold in the closest supermarket to my home. When I see them I feel like in candy wonderland! Heehee.

I saw this advert at the airport. My reading skills are improving, but I am still not sure what they are promoting :D.

Those beautiful baloons are sold here everywhere! And it's so lovely: People buy them when they fetch somebody from the airport or from the main busstation. Yaay!!!

The cute plushies were sold in Tel Aviv.

Now I need to hurry a little bit. This evening (today was the Memorial Day for Dead Soldiers and tomorrow is the Independence Day, which are both official holidays) several girls are invited to our apartment and D. , H. and I will give our best to cook a delicious meal! Afterwards, we are all going out together^^!! I wish your lifes contain as many different colours as this post, ok?
Love,

Designer: Kate Towers

("Meet me at the deserted Island...")
("Witness the birth of a butterfly...")
("I'll be waiting for you ... forever")
("Princess with the sad eyes, protecting
her heart from the world...")

The first time I encountered Kate Towers was via Elvchen's Blog. The dresses are all unique and hand-made by Kate Towers in her atelier in Portland, US. She sells on her webpage and has her own store on Etsy. Her non-seasonal dresses are apparently inspired by nature and romantic aesthetic. I love the editorial shoots of her dresses a lot, they capture everything I think of as beautiful. The moment the girls are caught in seems to have captured them in a minute of their life or existance. Still they are all clearly and sharply photographed, despite the dreamy atmosphere. That combination draws me to her creations and the wonderful photos. There is more inspiration on her page!
Love,

Swimming with the flamingo

Those photos are more than inspiring...they are magical.
Like taken from a dream.
From another world.
In another time.
I am utterly amazed by this creativity.

There is more wonder here: Source

Blogging sisters: Typhaine's Cookies

French bloggers used to have a special place in my heart (Pandora, Alix, Betty, just to name a few). A few days ago, I found out that there is a new name on the "It-Girl"-list: Typhaine. Her blog is called Cookies, maybe because the real name is hard to memorize: Cuillére á Absinthe. With her remarkably coloured red hair and nearly 1000 readers, the girl has been featured in several style magazines already (including Japan). Take a look at a few of her outfits below: Convinced? Then add her to your fave-blog list. I love her hats and her cat!

Lots of love, I'll head right back to studying! Stay inspired :P

Dazzling Inspiration from my Blogging Sisters

Visiting the fashion blogs from other fashionistas feels very rewarding. Just a click or two and you are connected to inspiration and styles from around the world. This keeps me really up at the moment - it makes hard studying for exams easier. Currently I do not allow myself to go shopping or the like (which has the good aspect of saving up money for the items on my new must-have-list!^^). Enough, please enjoy my top 6 finds and share what you think.
Love,
Lilly

1. Chiaras white cross earrings (from Tarina Tarantino).

2. Rumis black overknee tights. (Already out of stocks
everywhere due to approaching spring collections-bohoo).
By the way, one of my most favourite outfits by Rumi!

3. Betty's golden sequin hairband. She is the ultimate Queen of
combining/wearing sequins!!

4. Alix's brown Chloé shoes (together with Paris rain-lol). Too gorgeous for words.

5. Kristin and Megan showed this summer hairpiece of my dream
(via Etsy-Shop pinkpeas).

6. Louise - who effortlessly combines Hippie, Nerd and Rock chic
style
in this outfit. Revolutionary!!

See you again soon!

Sweet Country Life

Lilly wears: skirt vintage, belt baur, top primark,
fischer, tights ca, heels ariadne, bracelet hm,

necklace (hair) ebelin, watch from JP.

Outfit shoot with my sister (No. 2). I borrowed the skirt and the red fur belt from my mum. The shawl was bought the very same day - can't wait to wear it in spring/summer! The heels belong to my sweet sister. Outfit shoot (No.1) is two posts below. I am wearing the nail polish my sister created for me. During this photoshoot I learned that necklaces in your hairdoing have to be fixed with pins or they will fall down when you laugh to much^^.
O girls, I am busy as hell. I could easily keep two secretaries busy with all the organisational stuff at the moment, in order to focus on learning....Guess that's the case for many of us fashionistas at the moment. More posts coming soon, stay tuned!
Love to you and a wonderful weekend,

Casually glamorous

Lilly wears: chemise vintage, shirt primark, necklace ebelin,
shorts vintage, tights ca, heels graceland,
watch vintage, bracelet hm.

My sweet sister took this outfit shoot! I am happy about the technical quality - we used a reflex camera (which I was unfortunately not allowed to take with me - sob!). About the outfit: I borrowed from my sister's wardrobe: the checked pattern chemise and the DIY jeans shorts! She also styled the "belt" with a brown shoelace. The strawberry red watch is one of the Christmas presents from my dear friend JP. The heels (first pic) are brandnew - I would basically prefer to sleep in them! When is this snow going to melt? Did you spot the silver floral embroidery on my tights in the fourth photo from the top? I would love to wear that outfit for going out! At the moment I feel all like red and black. Stay tuned for more^^.
Have a wonderful Saturday!
Love,

Mango Winter Lookbook 2009/2010 + model talents + bargains

Scarlett Johansson for Mango.

Leigh Lezark (left) - awesome kittens!

Riley Keough ("Miss Dior Cherie"!!!) with a gorgeous cherry clutch.

Sheer coolness (Leigh Lezark).

On my wishlist: This jacket!, worn by Riley Keough.

***Lilly's favourites from Mango fall/winter 2009/2010***
For the previous collections Mango worked with Penelope Cruz and her sister, now it's time for Scarlett Johansson and newcomer Leigh Lezark! Leigh works as Djane in New York and forms part of the band The Misshapes...due to her dark gothic-like appearance she is known as The Vampire Princess. Riley Keough worked previously for Dior's ad of Miss Dior Cherie ("Moi je joue..."). Also part of the Mango fashion crew: Marie Ange Casta, younger sister of French model Laetitia Casta!
Mango fascinates me with their elegant patterns and beautiful accessoires! If you are shopping on a budget (like me), a Mango dominated wardrobe seems unaffordable, but their pieces are worth saving up for! If you have no clue how to spend your Christmas money yet, visit their Online Shop and pay attention to the sale section^^ (example below). I prefer little Mango evening bags (bought my first one in Spain, yaayy!!) and their jackets. Scarlett makes a wonderful model. Hey, she even published her first CD! Is this girl able to do anything? Apparently. Enjoy your day and stay tuned for more!

E.g. dress Primita by Mango Outletshop (21,- Euro).

High heels by Mango Outletshop (21,- Euro), on my wishlist!

Kisses,
