H&M Opening in Tel Aviv causes mass hysteria

This video shows the opening of the first H&M flagship store in Tel Aviv (Israel) on March 11th. Masses hit the store and caused several faints, injuries and stress among the customers. At the end of the day, the responsible CEO apologized and reflected that maybe the promotion of the opening was to aggressive. Either way, 15.000 customers came to first day and spent 3 million schekel (thats 600.000 Euro). The event was also big in newspapers and TV channels. More pictures over at Modepilot. Oh my, when I see such mass hysteria, I am kinda relieved that H&M stores are available and rather common in most cities in Germany and that the opening of a new one does not cause so much public interest. What do you think, is that mass attention deserved or a little over the top? Love,

Primark Spring 2010 Picks

via

Do you spot the lace blazer (left)?!!

I tried on that dress in the middle (cute)!

Luckily, I live close to one of the rare Primark stores in Germany. After I came upon that perfect white lace dress in the collage above, I decided to try to digg it up somehow. Which proved extremely difficult, as the dress was seemingly sold out already. Lucky me, I found two spare ones - one of them in my size!! Yaay. Only problem: Both of them were black as the midnight. Nevertheless, I made my choice and walked out of the store (like hours later *ehem*) with a brand-new black dress^^. (My other purchases will probably be in the next post, combined with an outfit post.)
About Primark in general, it's a pity that the average quality is rather low (as the prices are). So when I am primarking, I pick my choices very carefully to make sure that I do not end up with random purchases that stuff my wardrobe. And I would never buy shoes there! The height of all the heels were like...umm do you want to kill your customers? Another shopping tipp is going there during the week (best: early afternoon, or even before 12 a.m.) to avoid the masses. What is particularly great about Primark is the variety of jewellery and bags! I recommend that cordially. (I found myself mostly buying accessoires - despite of the lace dress of course). Did you ever shop at Primark, how did you feel about it?

Spring Trends Style Guide

Yaay, I found that new style tool on hm.com and proudly present the outcome of my spring combination choices. It kinda reminds me of Polyvore, but hey, you get all the latest pieces from your favourite Swedish fashion dealer *wink*. Valances (German: "Volants") are a substantial main trend this season, as well as denim. I could not find a good valance piece yet, if you are not careful, you look like a six-year old girl (nothing against them, but uum...you now what I mean). Yesterday the H&M Spring 2010 Inspiration Catalogue arrived and I like to show my three favo
urite shoe choices:

Obviously, I did this collage on my own. And you know the best? On Sunday I ordered the blue shoes!!! (They are basic and can be worn with anything - that was the main alibi for buying. They have that *awww*-factor. Can't wait!). Will you be buying shoes from H&M this season? That's all for today, I have to work now (my assignment has to be handed in at the end of next week and there are several other things which cannot be postponed. April will be so great! Okay, my coffee and my "Milchschnitte" (erhm...let's say its a German speciality) is ready, let's get going!
Love and Kisses,

Candy Apple Green

Theeheehee :D.

I think this is my first real make-up post. Nothing special, compared to the achievements of fellow make-up bloggers. I feel drawn to candy apple green and sugary cotton pink. On this evening I went out with HJ and her friend V. Wet meet two cute guys and danced until our high heels feel off. Could not take a proper outfit pic, but basically it was a grey minidress with a jeans vest worn with black tights. Felt really comfortable but still chic in it. Okay, back to the make-up:
  • Lipstick: Absolute colour 020 champagne by p2 (...champagne??)
  • Mascara: Magic Volume 01 black by Rival de Loop.
  • Rouge: Pretty Rouge Powder 01 sweet apricot by R. de L.
  • Eyeshadow: Lovely Eyes 06 pink pearl by R. de L.
It's pretty difficult to take make-up pics if you are not used to it. I got the blue crystal brooch from my friend JP - yaay! I was tempted to hold it up and say: "Sailor Moon!!!Transformation now!" Loool. Don't know the exact transformation sentence is in English, so I will not even try to embarass myself. Pirates of the Caribbean 3 was a hit! But I can't believe that Elizabeth and Will are apart from each other *bohooo*...silly script, what's with that happy-ever-after-ending, has that gone out of fashion? A lot of work is in progress and there is a huge surprise at the end of the month. Stay tuned for major news!

We Love: H&M Home Summer Collection 2010

Best news first: The strongly hyped and long anticipated H&M Garden Collection is online! Available since yesterday in the Online Shop - get ready, girls and order as fast as you can! I have to admit that although I am very fond of H&M designs, the two latest campaigns (namely Sonia Rykiel and the Garden Collection) really disappointed me. But this is not too tragic, as I found the latest H&M Home Summer Collection products which inspire me immensly! What do you think, ready to live with the following great interiour design pieces? OMG, those cushions...I am all head over heels!
Today brings still lots of housework and homework. To sad to learn this morning that one of my fave style blogs closed down (Zimtstern). This evening (in Germany) do not miss Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley in Pirates of the Caribbean 3!
Love,

PS.: To give the Garden Collection at least some credit: This is my favourite! The red rose application dress is a true eyecandy (but not a musthave). :)
