Lilly Needs You!

Hi my lovelies!
Lilly needs you! I took part at the "Was anziehen"-Contest to win a shopping voucher for H&M or Promod. It is as simple as that: If you like my outfit, please click on "Like" *here*. (Similar to Lookbook.nu, but without registration.) Every click helps! Thank you a lot beforehand sweethearts :).

And there are two blogging give-away contests, which I'd like to draw your attention to:

Win this tunica at Orchid Style .
This peacock tunica is sooo beautiful, that I like to win it!!

Win this cute set on Froschgrün.
The Anna Sui make-up bag is awesome, I would be so glad to be the lucky winner^^.

♥ Winning a pink camera from the Essence Contest ♥

Yesterday a mysterious packet arrived and to my utter shock and surprise it contained this precious pink camera from Canon.

It first I could not figure out where it was from, because there was no letter in there and I did not recognize the sending company. Perhaps it was a gift? Or a mislead order? But the postal sticker clearly stated my name and my address. After several hours of phoning half of my relatives to say thank you (they where even more surprised than I) without success, I finally googled the sender and suffered my second shock:
Last December I took part at the EU-wide creativity contest "Be a trendmaker" to hand in new ideas for potential product lines for the make-up company Essence cosmetics (reread the post *here*). And under the prizes were make-up sets, vouchers, Ipods and ...yay cameras! So the secret of the pink camera was solved and overjoyed I wrote a thank-you-letter to the Essence headquarter. I am so happy!!!! (And it's PINK!!!)
Here is the collage I handed in in December, along with several ideas for a possible make-up line (e.g. pastel eyeshadow colours, golden glittery lip gloss, soft pink nail polish etc.):
(The theme is "Royal Princess - The crown is yours!")

Please click to see the details enlarged.^^

The science photography award ceremony

Delicious appetisers at the ceremony celebration.

Prawns, salmon baguette and dessert with lemon and strawberries.

Martin Oeggerli's photos in the official exhibition.

Hot chocolate with cream together with Jojo.

I took part in the award ceremony of the German science photography prize 2009 today ("Deutscher Preis für Wissenschaftsphotographie")! Five happy winners from three different countries were awarded. I personally met Martin Oeggerli (he shoot the radiant daisy photos from my last post), who wore a sweatshirt with the adress of his blog on the back!! (I need one with my own, too!!). Check out his blog Micronaut for his now globally popular macro photographs, which were taken under a SEM (scanning electron microscope). He offers postcards, books, artprints and calendars with his motives! After the ceremony all participants were invited to a little celebration, where I shoot those yummy food pictures for you! I did not take pictures at the ceremony, because back then I was not intending to post it at all, but upon the buffet I changed my mind (women logic^^). I met Jojo and we had hot chocolate after the event at a cozy little café, when the rain outside poured heavily against the window.
Today was also the premiere of the Sonia Rykiel lingerie collection at H&M, but I could not spot any specific queues, because the city was immensely crowded with Christmas shoppers. Hopefully you spent a wonderful Saturday, too!

The German Prize for Science Photography

Guess what...?!

Martin Oeggerli choose...

...to take part in the national competition for science photography.
(all pics via http://web.de)

Tomorrow the German prize for science photography 2009 will be awarded. I fell in love with those daisy (could you tell it were daisies?) photos! Of course there are different categories and I am excited to see the rest of the photos being published. The prize awards the photographers that manage to capture science at its best - to make it more accessible and understandable for the public.
In case you wonder, why I blog science/nature photos in a lifestyle/fashion blog...I feel inspired by many things and I appreciate everything that's beautiful and unique. Haute couture designers are comparable (among each others), but is there anything that can be compared to the art and beauty and the mastery of nature?
See you again tomorrow!
Love,
