Hi^^.
Finally I am back home again and able to post! It will take me one more day to sort out the pictures from the weekend, so please be patient^^. Today I went into the city to buy a present for the birthday party of my friend A. on Saturday! On my way I stumpled upon the greatest shoes ever: I l.o.v.e. them! But their height is around 10 cm and I am not sure about the walking comfort, so eventually they will stay a dream? I have to consider a little, I suppose...What do you think? Please look forward to the following entrys^^

On my way I had to travel a long way across the country and I discovered this beautiful castle when I passed Wuerzburg (Germany). Isn't it stunningly beautiful?? It just had to be shared with you^^. Picnic anyone?

Hi^^. What I love most about summer is definitely the occasion to celebrate outside and have many picnics and barbecues! On Sunday I've been invited by my friend C. to have a little grill party with his people and I brought a huge plate with delicious strawberrys (it was spontaneous, so I wasn't prepared^^). This evening there was a barbecue party I went to with my friend F. and two of his friends. Happy enough I met many people I haven't talked to in a while! Very early tomorrow will be the departure for me to see my family, so I better try to get some rest now! Love,

Hi^^. Today I have been very busy organising, because I am going to see my family this weekend!! I can't bring my laptop, but I'll try to post from there, too. So excited to see everyone!!^^(And looking forward for the outfits my sister and I decided to wear). On last Saturday I finally got to wear my new pink top^^. Together with D. I went to the party and were happy to meet up there with my friends JC. and KV.! It was so crowded that we could barely dance, but the music was great! Let's go together another time!

Hi^^. Last Friday I had a funny experience: in my city there is a custom, that all men or women who are not married at their thirtieth birthday, have to sweep either the stairs or the doorknob of the local church, surrounded by celebrating relatives and friends. I was waiting for my friends KV. and KS. and suddenly two men approached me, asking if I would save their friend from sweeping the stairs! Have a guess how it is done... you have to kiss the person, like in a fairy-tale! In the end I stepped up the stairs and kissed him on the cheek, so he was finally released^^. The crowd applauded and everyone was happy. (Did I already mention that he had to wear a top hat, green flippers and a penguin suit?!).

Hi^^. It's been a while, but I am so happy about last weekend! I got to meet many new people, stayed up late and went to two partys. Delighted I read about the following: The British scientist Elaine Fox (University of Essex) discovered a lucky-gene-variant. In her experiments she asked subjects to look at happy, neutral and terrifiying pictures. Some of the subjects neglected the minatory pictures and kept looking at the positive ones. It turned out that they had a specific genetical feature: the gen 5-HTTLPR is slightly longer than the normal version. This gen controls the transport of the neurotransmitter serotonin, a messenger that is associated with happiness.
I wonder if anybody I know has this gene variant? Tonight we are heading for the Easter fair again, so I will try to finish my work before that^^.

Paradise Sunday

Hi^^. Finally here are the wonderful pictures we took on Easter Sunday in the local park. My friend H. invited me over for an Easter brunch together with her friend J. I brought a strawberry curd, sparkling whine and some croissants! We had a delicious late breakfast and decided to relax in the park in the afternoon. In the evening we chattered and danced through the rooms to old party hits^^. So this was a unconventional Easter, but I enjoyed it more than ever. Thank you H., it was so much fun! :) On Easter Monday I slept in and went to a swimming lake in the afternoon to lay in the sun (the water was still to cold for swimming). I hope you like the pictures^^

Hi :). Heartily I hope that everybody spent nice Easter holidays! I was so busy that I could not post during the last days, but I will upload the new pictures and everything in the following days!

On Saturday I went into the city to buy fruit for a fruit salad and tried to find some new trainers for gymnastics, but could not find any suitable. In the evening I met up with my friends K., S. and D. to visit the local easter fair to enjoy pizza and some sugared pastries. The weather was still warm, so we decided to sit in a beer garden and watch the sunset. I hope we can go back there soon together with all friends that were missing today!

I'm just more

Hi^^. What a lovely day! We had perfect spring weather and I was lucky enough to rediscover a band I used to love when I was a teenager :). It's a german girl group called 'Wonderwall' and their songs are so beautiful, I cannot properly describe how they make me feel^^. I postet their best video (suitable for spring!!), but my favourite song is this one: Just more. I had to sing it all and all over again the whole evening :)). In the morning I went to church (Good Friday) and later on I went into the park to see how many plants already bloom^^. For lunch I tried to cook pancakes with strawberry squish and whipped cream, but it turned out to be a complete disaster, because I was lacking a tool to turn the pancakes over (Is there at least anything I can do right in the kitchen??). Besides, I wrote Easter greeting cards to my lovelies, for I cannot see them during the holiday! Hopefully they will arrive in time! Be happy everyone^^

Hi^^. Today's outfit is maybe my new favourite outfit...I love to wear it with jeans or skirts and ballerinas. Finally I found a way how to post more than a mere portrait, but I am still not content. There must be a more effective method, leading to better pictures^^. I tried to cook a thai red curry for lunch yesterday, but the result wasn't "postable" (I have still to practise cooking a lot...). Moreover, I stumbled upon a most extraordinary blog: Advanced Style. It features fashionable old ladies and gentleman! Good idea, I never saw something like it before! Today I took many new pictures, I can't wait to share them with you soon!

Hi^^. Just now I finished watching "The good witch of the west" - alternatively called "Astraea Testament", an anime by the author Noriko Ogiwara. She wrote several fantasy novels that have been turned into a manga series and the mentioned anime later on. It tells the story of fifteen year old Firiel Dee, who gets a mysterious necklace from her father one day. On a visit to the palace of her country, the necklace reveals her true identity and her fate becomes entangled deeply with the quarrel between the two candidates for queen: Adel and Leandra. Additionally there is the lurking danger of a dark intrigue aiming to overthrow the throne altogether. Firiel decides to travel with her childhood friend Roux through the fantastic country to discover the secret of the midday star, which appears to be the key to everything...
There are 13 episodes (that you can find starting here) and I took a liking for the fantasy setting and the cute characters. I was surprised to find out that the movie features more violence than I expected for an anime dedicated to a younger audience. And considering the ending, I think there could have been more...maybe I get the chance to compare the anime to Norikos novels one day!^^ I practised to sing along the intro song and its fun :) Watching is warmly recommended for girls who like stories of brave princesses and far away countries!

Hi everybody^^. After waking up on Sunday, I decided to visit our local park to enjoy the spring sun. I was delighted to find everything already blooming! Certainly I have to go there more often! I took a walk through the rather huge area and rested later on a bench to have some marvelous ice cream. It was my first time trying out ice cream from Ben & Jerrys and I find that the cookie pieces are yummy^^. At the lake you can rent little boats to row on the waterways through the park! I am impatient to come here with my friends in summer to have a splashy little pirate naval battle in the boats :). I wish everyone a fabulous day!

Holá^^. Yesterday night I went out dancing. As you can tell from the picture we were all wearing blue/turquoise, but this was totally coincidental! We celebrated until the early morning hours, then my two lovelies got a stomachache and we went home again. Thank you two, it was so much fun! By the way I wore the same outfit as on 21/03/09. Dancing is one of the things that make me absolutely beam with joy!!

On my weekly way to the supermarket, I stopped by at a huge shopping center to check out their haberdashery. I was still looking for something to add to my current craft project (s. 30/03/09). There were so many different and inspiring things, I had to force myself out of the department after nearly half an hour of rummaging. A soft pink feather boa catched my eye and I had to gather all my willpower together to leave it were it was^^. Additionally I saw some gorgeous multicoloured buttons, but I didn't dare to take a picture! I will definitely have to create something with cute buttons. And look at the pictures to see what I already found at the net!
This evening I am going out with my friends JC and D, so I have to hurry up now to get ready! The outfit will be posted tomorrow (after I am able to open my eyes again^^)!

Cherry Blossom Girl

My favourite spring blossoms

Hi^^. I waited weeks for it to happen: the cherry trees are blooming now! Every tree is like a sweet dream of candy floss and fairy-tales^^. To take these pictures I nearly missed my bus!
In the evening I met with my friends at our friend S's house to enjoy pizza and to watch DVDs. We saw (Hoodwinked!, 2005) and the German film (The Pharmacist, 1997). The latter was very eccentric and rather bizarre, but I liked it! If you get the chance to watch this movie, don't hesitate! Thank you A, my dear, for the delicious muffins!
The other picture shows my outfit for the evening: clearly a cherry blossom theme^^. Especially I love the new blouse with the printed roses, which I bought at the fashion market (16/03/09). Everything around was combined to match it.
Spring is finally here...yeaaah^^

Rebecca returning from the sales

Hi^^. Yesterday evening I have been to the cinema, and probably you already have an idea which movie I chose...Confessions of a Shopaholic!!
To be honest I did not exspect a deep storyline, I was prepared for some joyful (fashionable) entertainment...but I got really surprised! You just love Rebecca Bloomwood (played by a stunning Isla Fisher) from the beginning, because she is such a happy whirlwind and totally the type of person that messes up without intention (so there were lots of funny situations^^).
You get a glimpse of her extraordinary style by the pictures below. I learned that the outfits have been combined by famous Patricia Field (who styled the outfits for Sex and the City!). I recommend watching it, because this heart-warming movie made me laugh and nearly cry alike.

PS.: Notice that there is an anonymous "shopping addicted"-group portrayed in the movie and Rebecca has to attend the meetings. Never heard of something like it before, but it is so much fun when they try to overcome their shopping addiction!^^
