Happy Halloween, says the baby octopus

Sweet 'n' Scary baby octopus! (as planktonic larva, Source)

Hey gals, Happy Halloween to all of you! Tonight I am off with my friend Diane to take part in some scary Halloween partys^^. Only yesterday I bought two special new pieces to make up a new 'costume'. Isn't the baby octopus sooo cute? But his eyes look very alien to me. Could he be afraid of the dark blue sea? Oh no, I need to hurry up to get ready in time...! Spend a dark night and collect lots of sweets!

Love, Lilly :D

PS: I am very happy about the visitors from all the different countries around the world! The thing about blogging I appreciate most is definitely its internationality! How did you spend Halloween?

Desirable

D.e.s.i.r.a.b.l.e. (no further comment necessary)!

Hi everyone^^, today my friend Susu came over for tea and we enjoyed rooibos wild cherry tea and little chocolate pralines...I love tea time with friends!! My favourite cup has a heart-shaped handle (I'll show it to you another time). The day before yesterday I went shopping and found some new interiour pieces at The Depot which I am craving for. I favour their products immensly, so probably I would need several apartments to realize all the ideas that just pop up in front of my inner eye...let's see if you feel the same inspiration! I love, love, love this lavender pillow with the glittering sequins and the cute little birds. Currently they do not fit into my furnishing, so I am still happy to glance at them^^. I wish everyone a wonderful day!
Love, Lilly :D

Palm Springs

Hehe...some tropical holiday feeling!!

Hi!! I am so happy today, which seems strange, because I fighted with a headache all day, but now all is fine! I cordially thank my Grandmam for taking these outfit pics (she had a hard time with the digital camera!). The earrings are special to me, they remind me of a certain certain happening *-*. I invented many new things on my blog: Only recently a brandnew header (which I love dotingly)! How do you like it? I joined twitter (decided to give it a try), feedburner (what I still try to figure out throughly) and BlogLovin' (is excellent if you are looking for specific blog inspiration). And last but not least, I joined happily IFB - The Independent Fashionbloggers (as mentioned before here). I am always in search of new blog inspiration, so let me now if I could enhance LillysGarden more!

Love, Lilly :D

PS: I am reading all comments and I always take time to answer them, please be a little patient!

The exotic paradise

Source Adress: 150 Varick Street, New York (NY) 10013.

Hi^^!! Today I am treating you with insights into a most inspiring club: The New York Greenhouse. I read about it in the current JOLIE issue and was captivated by the view! Growing plants covering a whole wall is cutting-edge. Did I already mention that they are focusing on eco-sustainable management? You get a feeling like you are part of some "How we are going to live in the future"-TV shows. Or more like a combination from a relaxed cocktail-club and a stylish garden greenhouse? Now I fantasize to design such a café on my own...there have to be blooming and fragrant orchids everywhere and a little waterfall inside...with a name like "The Exotic Paradise"? One can dream^^...What do you think? Would you like to go there ?
Lovely greetings,

Lilly :D

Royal Kitten

Hello my lovelies^^. Thank God for inventing coffee, it really was my life saver today...woke up to late and had to skip breakfast at all *sob*. And if it please could stop raining? Admittedly my brand new umbrella had its premiere (guess the colour...100 points for everyone who thought: "She's not up to violet again, is she?"). So today an outfit post! Thanks to my friend FJ. who took the pictures (let's say more or less voluntarily^^). During the weekend I made an new friend called Cookie (I want a sweet name like that!). The season requires that I well-behaved take my vitamine C every day to stay out of the major common cold epidemic these days...let's hope it helps! What do you do to prevent colds and stay healthy? I better get back to work now...

Love, Lilly :D

Welcome to the fairy fair

Spinning around...I don't feel like coming down^^ (Kylie)

Hi! I am always looking forward to go to the autumn fair! We did so on Saturday evening and I am glad that we were lucky enough to avoid getting smashed by the crowd (let's say more or less). During the night it is even more exciting, all the blinking lights, the music, laughing people and so many different smells of food! Thanks to everyone for coming and let's keep having fun like that. On one occasion I managed to get sugar powder all over me...geez. At least the others enjoyed my snowman disguise. Before that, I got my face all sticky with chocolate strawberrys...having me around appears to be sometimes entertaining. Lovely rest of the weekend to all of you!

Kiss, Lilly :D

PS: In terms of individuality protection, please contact me if anyone of you guys fancy to have a pink pair of sunglasses! XD

Dirndlpunk ROCKS

Pink butterfly dirndl from Angelika Zwerenz. (Source)

Germany is internationally famous for its Munich 'Oktoberfest'. Traditionally people dress up in their festive clothes, which is normally 'Dirndl' for women and 'Lederhosen' for men. So if you want to join the fun at Oktoberfest with German beer, real pretzels and chocolate fruits; be sure to take a look at the trend label DIRNDLPUNK by Angelika Zwerenz to be properly styled!

They produce cute and fashionable dresses! Their models are called "Made in heaven", "Lov
e, Peace and Happiness", "Peacock dream", "Black Havanna" and "Rock me Baby". Check out her webshop for more! I cannot decide whether I like the pink or the violet dirndl better, whatever, they are all desirable. Have you heard of Oktoberfest before or saw somebody in a dirndl?
Lovely greetings and golden autumn days,

Lilly :D

EDIT: I feel like I have to clarify this: With 'dress up' I am refering to people who take on traditional cloting. The pieces in this post are not meant for costume partys or Halloween! They are a modern interpretation of the traditional, festive German clothes for people during the last centuries. Something we would describe as a specific "folklore", mostly worn by people in Southern Germany until the 19th century. Today it is only worn to occasions like the Oktoberfest or other native celebrations.

PPS: I have my own dirndl, too...but this is shown at another time ;).

Everything's changing

Lilly wears: (jacket orsay, pullover+tights CA, boots varese, bonnet HM, skirt vintage)

Delicious: Schnitzel with mozzarella and tomatoes.

So far this week consumed all my attention to organise things and I kept thinking: I want to blooog^^. Okay, so here we go! My little journey on the train was relaxing and I hope to be traveling again soon! (If it were not for packing before you can leave!!). Above is my first schnitzel: I have been vegetarian since I was seven and started eating little meat pieces only this spring...eating this schnitzel really was a major sensation to everybody^^. Since Sunday I am deeply concerned, because somebody close to me is in hospital after a severe accident. Hopefully everything will turn out to be okay again *sob*. Moreover, I feel hurt but I cannot exactly tell were that feeling comes from. Confusing days...

Slowly drifting into a peaceful breeze

Hi! I will be off for the weekend, catching the train early this morning. And geez...I stayed up to long this nite and was to confused to pack my suitcase properly. New episodes of 'Cold Case' (I love Lily!) and 'Medium' kept me in suspense. I hope to return with lots of fashion pictures and to have fun, of course (Baby, it's weekend!). I love to travel on the train. Usually I buy a fashion magazine, but I keep glancing dreamily at the landscape and listen to my thoughts. I am excited to see the cities, villages, forests, bridges, mountains and lakes flowing past me like an endless picture stream. Traveling is not for the sake of arriving anywhere, but just to feel that you are moving through the world...Enjoy your weenkend, too! Do you like to be on the train?
Lovely greetings from LillysGarden,
Lilly :D

Artist: Sascalia

Girl with lantern by the sea.

Recently I discovered this artwork, painted by Sascalia. Her pictures (referd to as "mixed media collage art") are warm, colourful and they leave a comforting notion in my heart. Her themes are mostly women or young girls, of late additionally couples and families. She works with pastel hues. I like that the paintings evolve a dreamy, fairy-tale-like atmosphere. They seem optimicstic and happy. The eyes are expressive. If you like what you see, visit Sascalia here. What do you think of her art? I enjoyed my evening with almond horns and strawberry-rhubarb-cream-tea, in company of my friend HJ. Why cannot all days be as relaxed as this one?
Love, Lilly :)

Made in Heaven

Sweet advert from Nokia, reblogged from Jenny.

This advert captured my heart at an instant! Who invented this must have been really into cookies^^. And I like the warm telling voice of the old woman. This spot motivates me to plan an extensive cookie baking session in December! Supplying colourful, sweet decoration and lots of sugar pearls!! When was the last time you baked cookies?
Love, Lilly :D

PS.: Today I received a postcard from Croatia. The date stamp is from 20th August...seems to have been lingering around quite a while^^.

Shopping analysis II

I fancy this brown blazer, seen by Avanti.

Hello to everyone^^. Here we go, after a very very rainy Sunday with many cups of fruit tea and dried apricots, let's have a look at some more favoured pieces I found during my shopping tour yesterday! Which one is your favourite? What do you think of the dress with the houndstooth design? I am really into it, but I'm not 100% sure that the pattern suits me...I wish a lovely Sunday and a good start into the new week to everyone!

Shopping analysis I

Lilly with her new lilac shawl at CA.

My shopping outfit: boots: varese, cardigan+tights: ca, jacket: orsay, skirt+shawl: vintage.

Hi everyone^^. Heavens, I cannot walk anymore...shopping requires good fitness conditions! Finally I was able to start my long-awaited fashion trip! It was kinda crowded (as always on Saturdays), but I got to see all shops and I am profundly happy with the pieces I found. I bought the shawl in the first photo and the white dress below. Unfortunately (but naturally) I cannot drag everything home that I fancy. What appeals to you most?
Love, Lilly :D

I was instantly enamored with this top (dress?) and can't wait to go dancing with it! (H&M)
