Exotic Treasures by Bamboo

"...endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful
have been, and are being, evolved." - Charles Darwin

I have a weakness for endangered wildlife - and I love jewellery.... so imagine my delight when I came upon those fine pieces in a local store and later explored the Online Shop from Bamboo Jewellery ( a Californian company). Above is only a small selection of my favourites, basically I adore everything they have! They offer from each design different versions like earrings, necklaces, rings etc.
Now I feel like I want to establish a small zoo in my jewellery case...lol. To start with, I'd choose the green sea horse and the blue rainforest frog. Or better my favourite butterfly, the blue Morpho♥? Bamboo operates as a green company and they recycle i.e. the silver they use for the jewellery. Find out more about their green standards here. Want to start looking for your own favourites? Click here. Time to get back to work :). Happy Monday everyone!♥

We Love: H&M Home Summer Collection 2010

Best news first: The strongly hyped and long anticipated H&M Garden Collection is online! Available since yesterday in the Online Shop - get ready, girls and order as fast as you can! I have to admit that although I am very fond of H&M designs, the two latest campaigns (namely Sonia Rykiel and the Garden Collection) really disappointed me. But this is not too tragic, as I found the latest H&M Home Summer Collection products which inspire me immensly! What do you think, ready to live with the following great interiour design pieces? OMG, those cushions...I am all head over heels!
Today brings still lots of housework and homework. To sad to learn this morning that one of my fave style blogs closed down (Zimtstern). This evening (in Germany) do not miss Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley in Pirates of the Caribbean 3!
Love,

PS.: To give the Garden Collection at least some credit: This is my favourite! The red rose application dress is a true eyecandy (but not a musthave). :)

Up into the clear blue sky

Future Aircruise hotel floating over the sea.
Running via solar panels.
Arriving at a city.
The Lounge

View from one of the hotel bars.

SONG: ***Himmelblau by Die Ärzte***
(means "Clear blue sky" in German - wonderful!!)

How I am enthralled by this future project! This luxurious aircruise has been designed by British company SemourPowel and aims to provide an elegant flying hotel to float over the sky to the big cities on our different continents. Up to 200 guests can be acommodated, plus crew members. The project is said to potentially being realized as soon as 2015! Can you imagine this style of travel? I would definitely like to go - love the futuristic, minimal design and the idea! One of my first thoughts popping up in my mind was: What would I wear there? Additionally I have a weakness for wonderful sunsets...Let the cruise begin^^.
Love,

Designer: Kate Towers

("Meet me at the deserted Island...")
("Witness the birth of a butterfly...")
("I'll be waiting for you ... forever")
("Princess with the sad eyes, protecting
her heart from the world...")

The first time I encountered Kate Towers was via Elvchen's Blog. The dresses are all unique and hand-made by Kate Towers in her atelier in Portland, US. She sells on her webpage and has her own store on Etsy. Her non-seasonal dresses are apparently inspired by nature and romantic aesthetic. I love the editorial shoots of her dresses a lot, they capture everything I think of as beautiful. The moment the girls are caught in seems to have captured them in a minute of their life or existance. Still they are all clearly and sharply photographed, despite the dreamy atmosphere. That combination draws me to her creations and the wonderful photos. There is more inspiration on her page!
Love,

***The Nautilus Home***

The Nautilus home (all pictures via StyleFrizz).

Ground plan - inspired by the marine animal "nautilus".

Conservatory - very lovely and green!

Scenery from the dream house! That staircase is superb!

View outside/inside.

A nautilus looks like this!^^ (Source).

I was utterly amazed when I found this house! How I would love to go there (it is located in Mexico) and take a look around the house and its unique architecture for real. For me, it feels like a futuristic, super-cool dream coming true...maybe there will be more outstandingly creative and individual homes in the future? Can't wait! How do you feel about it? Would you choose to move there? Love those fancy coloured glass windows!! *-*
Love,

PS: This post is dedicated to my friend S.H., who loves the sea as much as I do.

Where my soul lives

Exotic luxury by Kirsch Interior.

Fairy-tale mirror by Monsoon.

Germany is buried under immense masses of snow...I am busy as predicted earlier to the point that I leave the house in the morning and forget to apply earrings. (I never go out without them!). For next week there is so much work to be done that I have to include Saturday and Sunday on my schedule. What keeps me happy? For example my wonderful home! In this post I share a little of my interior decoration inspiration lately. Isn't winter the perfect time to decorate your room to make it the ultimate well-being place? Or dreaming a little of spring....along with floral prints and soft pastel shades. For tomorrow I promise a new special outfit post, okay? Kisses to you all and have a fantastic time,

This years best Christmas cookies!

AH (Vegi) and Lilly (exhausted and happy) with our sweet treasures!

Starting out with the ingredients...

Vegi is making German cookies called Betmännchen (mostly marzipan).

Yaay - and our own marzipan balls (left the classical cocoa version, right my sugar crumbles version!)

Close-up on our delightful creations!! (Can you spot the tooth-shaped cookie?!)

Aren't they to gorgeous to eat?!

And yet more!!

The sveral sugar toppings we worked with! (Made with LOVE).

I was so happy baking those delicious Christmas cookies with Vegi! It took us the whole day and do not ask how the kitchen looked afterwards! We listened to Medieval Christmas chorals and gave every cookie its own design - meaning that there are no similar ones! We had little sugar hearts in pink, white and red, silver sugar pearls, food colours and little white snowballs...The best part of baking is definitely decorating! Thank you so much Vegi, for hosting me in your kitchen and the ultimate Christmas baking session!! Let's do it again next year, ok? (Her mum had a tooth-shaped cookie cutter (and we had it all covered with sugar!! Har har!!)). I will be packing my suitcase tomorrow to leave for my family home on Thursday!! This day is finally upcoming!
Wonderful pre-Christmas days to you all, my hearts!!
Love,

Peacock & Cats

Pink walldecoration by Happywall.

Elegant butterfly decoration by Wenz.

Hi! Just found these beautiful wallpapers. How do you like them? I like the peacock best, but the butterflys are also adorable. And the cats look like shadows! I am changing my room decoration quite often, so I probably would need a few different wall decorations^^. During the day I was slightly sleepy, because yesterday I went out to a party with my friends Diane and KR. That was so much fun, please let's go out more often! For the first time I tried out a Baileys Latte Macchiato and a Bacardi Cranberry, which were both exceptionally tasty!
Love, Lilly :))

Render to lavender!

hello! stylish office lady
hello! stylish office lady by chrwan featuring Paul Smith

Found this yesterday on polyvore! I like the top and the shoes best. Apparently I am doing well with my former denial of everything shaded in violet! Unfortunately I had to cancel a trip today with Diane to a special book fleamarket...:(. Hopefully I will be fully back for mischief on Monday. During last night I decided upon an update of the blog design. I adore the new header, it is a section of my most favourite picture by famous photographer Tim Walker. The link colours have also been altered to dark blue/turquoise. And I am looking for a new avatar right know. In my opinion, the new design is more suitable for the dark autumn/winter season. That's it for today, look after yourselves to avoid colds (eat vegetables, fruits and that kinda stuff)...
Love, Lilly ;)
